Review:

Grew this last season and it was such fun. Planted it for my granddaughter, but must admit, I got just as much fun out of it as she did. Was really happy with the number of ears we got and the wide variety of the colors. This is just beautiful. Shucking the ears is like opening a jewel box!! We both really enjoyed showing the dried ears off to visitors.

Review:

We got these last year for my niece to grow in a three sisters garden. The corn was the only thing that succeeded there. The plants were mature and drying down before the beans even took off. Lots of lovely little ears, though. We had a hard time choosing the prettiest colors for next years seed. I'm posting the review today because we were popping some this morning. Most of the kernels don't pop. Nearly every one parches instead. For those of you unfamiliar with parched corn, think corn nuts. Keep tossing the popping corn on the stove until every kernel is toasted a dark brown, instead of the original colors and when you are done you have a bowl of home made corn nuts and a small amount of popcorn. Still delicious. We are growing these again this year. Instead of planting with warm season beans, we're going to plant directly into the spring peas. With the speed these mature at, I expect both plants to finish at about the same time.

Review:

This is one of my favorite things to grow, ever. Started my seeds in my greenhouse early April. Transplanted to my outdoor garden the end of May where they in raised beds. Mixed Fox Farm with our local soil. Very early maturity, was picking fully matured corn husks in August! I used this for decoration and still have them on display. Absolutely stunning. Anyone that has the space to grow this corn should grow this corn!

What are the pros? Absolutely GORGEOUS

What are the cons? So small...

Review:

Disclaimer: I'm not that great with growing corn. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let me say that this variety is gorgeous! I never got an ear that wasn't tiny, but I'm going to blame that on the fact that the spot I had ended up being fairly shady and (again) I'm not very good at growing corn. Every single ear I got ended up looking like a glorious treasure. I gave a few away as gifts! Call me a fan.

Review:

I grew this in Utah, and it really did well for me. I kept thinking they weren't done yet because the ears are small, so it was almost dry when I picked it. The ears are just beautiful. I haven't tried to pop it yet, so I can't comment on taste. These were beautiful to hang up for decorations around Halloween/Thanksgiving.
