What are the pros? good production, firm,crisp
What are the cons? Does not ferment itself
Second the reviewer who said it makes excellent sauerkraut. It also hung in there well. I had a few heads go all summer without splitting or bolting. Made kraut from spring cabbage in the fall. Not bad for zone 5

We harvested one monster, which after trimming the outer earwig chomped leaves (so we knew it was going to be a "good "un"), weighed 17 pounds. Made incredible sauerkraut.
We had a damp and nasty summer in '09, and these were still healthy and HUGE. After cutting I covered the "stumps" with mulch, and each produced 5 softball-sized side babies. Firm, solid heads. We'll be eating delicious sauerkraut until the next crop comes in!
