80-90 days. Full-sized slicer in warm tones of deep red to mahogany. The oblate fruits reach 12 ounces and are richly pleated and folded. Fruits are extravagantly juicy, and it is for juicing that we mainly recommend this variety. It is also unusually mild for a "purple" tomato, having just a hint of the earthiness and complexity that this category is known for. Originally from Russia.

What are the pros? looks

What are the cons? not resistant

Review:

Every year I plant at least 25 different tomatoes, I have short season in Canada (5b zone) so they go in the garden mid June. Last year this one was my only failure, the plant was sickly from the start and when it finally set fruit it took forever to ripen, then it rained for couple of days and after that the top of the fruit was infested with mold and fungi, it all just fell of. The other tomatoes in the raised bed thrived, (lace currant and green striped ) but this one just gave up, I only put 3 plants per raised bed so that I can have good productivity. Will not plant this one again.

Review:

First, I bought this variety in the local grocery store, later in the season I planted it in my garden along with a few other black types of tomatoes. My family thinks this one has a better taste than any other black tomatoes. It does crack after the weather gets cooler with lots of rain. But otherwise it is a good variety. The fruit's weight was a half of pound, but prolific. The fruit color on my plants was more like in Black Krym or Black from Tula. Keep growing it.
