So unique! This bright yellow, olive-shaped radish is truly one of the most beautiful and tasty radishes I've ever grown--sweet and mild. This heirloom came from Alzbeta Kovacova-Pecarova of Kosice, Czechoslovakia.

What are the pros? Flavor and Color

What are the cons? Gets pretty woody if big

Review:

A good tasting and growing radish. Color is very nice. Just be sure to pick at normal radish size or they can get woody and crack. Otherwise great! Grown in rainy Western WA in clay soil amended with topsoil and organic farm manures. No pest problems. Easy grower.

Review:

I planted them early in southern California and they came up fast. Matured very quickly and produced many radishes but I was disappointed with the flavor. I found them bland and they would spoil very quickly if left out.

These radishes grow in any soil. They have very good flavor and are on the spicey side.

What are the pros?

Review:

This radish is very attractive with creamy tan skin and pure crunchy white radish on the inside. However it is no radish for the moderate radish liker because the taste is quite strong and spicy. This is less so when the radish is harvested very young. Overall it is beautiful and has a nice kick to it, if you are looking for a light and sweet radish, go with a frenchie.

Review:

Grew to size quickly. Great germination, and good flavor. Yellow color does tend to wash off with scrubbing since it is only skin-deep.
