71 days. Introduced in 1888 by Peter Henderson & Co. and one of their most famous varieties; still popular to this day. In 1888 Henderson offered $100 cash for plants bearing the most pods and proclaimed it “A VEGETABLE WONDER!!!” “Can and should be grown in every garden,” and also said “of all the Novelties...ever sent out, there is nothing so entirely distinct and valuable as this New Vegetable.” Dwarf bush plants can be grown like regular bush beans. Very tasty, tender beans, and very early too!

Review:

This lima bean variety produces robust healthy plants, a glut of bean pods and many wonderful lima beans per pod!! They are wonderful freshly picked, boiled and served with butter, salt and pepper!! In our opinion there is no better option!! Do grow these!!

First year growing this one and it performed great. Robust healthy plants and lots of beans. Kept producing right on thru drought and 3 weeks of continuous rain.

Review:

We grow these every year in Colorado (z5a) and get several pickings before frost. We've even had excellent results during very cool summers when only a handful of days are above 90F and August nights in the 40s.

I planted these late, and they still produced. I was surpised at how quickly they grew and produced. I want to grow these again.
