(Agastache X hyb.) Think Anise hyssop with a twist--this variety blooms in clear pink rather than the more usual lavender-purple. Incredibly free flowering on compact plants, early summer right through to hard frost, and the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds love it!

What are the pros? Attract bumblebees, smell nice

What are the cons? They end up everywhere

Review:

These are beautiful plants, easy to germinate and a great space filler. Bumblebees and butterflies LOVE them, they do well in pots and they smell great. My only problem? They self sow like crazy! I started six plants from seed and spent the next three growing seasons pulling them out from all over my yard.

What are the pros? beautiful, delicious, hardy

What are the cons? looks like mint family weeds

Review:

The photo does not do these flowers justice. This looks like a purple, but it is closer to hot pink than purple. The color difference is so striking that I thought it wasn't hyssop. I bought the seeds to attract beneficial insects and I am pleased to see that I like the color AND it is delicious (leaves/flowers/seeds).
