What are the pros? VERY easy to grow
What are the cons? Takes forever to ripen
I grew these for the first time this year, from a grafted plant I purchased. The fruit take forever to appear and even longer to ripen. Mine have been in since March 2015, & the fruit are only now (August) appearing in quantity. They remain hard, or firm, at all stages, even the ripest. The shell of the fruit remains quite firm while the inside is filled with very sweet juice. They're delicious, but take a long time. The plants seem VERY healthy, no ailments at all (we have lots of mold in the area). Require nothing more than regular water & a little food. I don't understand those who claim these tomatoes aren't tasty. They're VERY tasty. They're just slow. Perhaps pick them BEFORE watering? Tomatoes picked right after can be pretty awful, bland & insipid in flavor.
