I started these in June via the "sprinkle/scatter" method, in a 2x3 self watering planter. I wasn't overly concerned with planning them as it was spur of the moment. They sprouted great, and I was able to get some pearl onions from them (as I didn't take the time to thin them out) and great scallions. I pulsed up the smallest to use for toppings for hot dogs, and sliced up the bigger ones to be used for hamburgers. Everyone loved them. Great pungent but not hot onion flavor, will be starting some outside again shortly.
