the first year I grew these and so far almost 100%germination healthy plants not super stocky but still the leaves are somewhat thick and lush green according to my experience with growing other onions in the past these show great signs of giving me a great onion harvest this coming season

Sorry I am updating my last review since they germinated and give bakercreek credit for having great seed with honest integrity that backs their products of quality!Very fast delivery even thou first small flat was almost a disastaer the 2nd one I planted from the same exact seeds gave me 100% germination,they are very healthy plants not as stocky as the yellow of parma but their strong point seems to be that they are very cold hardy cause even thou I have them near my flourecent light I have them very near a single pai window in my back room no heat up stairs except that that rises from the first floors and that is pretty good cause here in Ct. this year between Jan & Feb it has been 10 below to 30 degrees outside and they are right near the window after I let them get I tiny bit bigger I adapted them to this condition and they are doing extremely well!

I'm new to growing onions but Jaune Paille stands out because of its excellent flavor and it performed superbly in the garden with minimal care. I put them in large paper bags in an unheated area under the stairs and they've kept beautifully for months now. Reordering them again for certain.

I live in the PNW Washington. Sowed these seeds indoors March, transplanted outdoors April 28th. Harvested late August. As of May the following year we still have firm onions in storage that's 7 months from harvest! Excellent sweet taste when fried or roasted. I will definitely buy this variety again.

Last year I grew 5 different kinds of long day onions. These were one of 2 that kept all winter. Their flavor is mild but not sweet. They are already in the garden for this year !!!
