What are the pros? flowers, leaves same color

What are the cons? none

Review:

I have grown these plants for over 20 years. Here in Ohio they can grow to 7 ft and easily branch out to look like a small tree. they germinate late and do not like to be transplanted, but self sow easily. they are spectacular in a grouping or by themselves. the leaves and the plants are the same color. they are excellent to act as shade for another plant or even to grow as a secret garden space for the kids.

Review:

Grown in zone 5, in black organic soil, the plants grew 5 ft tall....early growth stages were edible, fresh or steamed....became a beautiful row of deep purple foilage and seedheads.....seeds easily harvested in the fall.....will plant again, to use as a back of the border plant for other shorter flowers in the front....
