Fashionable, dark green plants have mahogany-red blooms with chocolate overtones. So stunning and flashy. You will love this heirloom from the 1890's with its compact, beautiful plants.

What are the pros? Red color, easy to grow

What are the cons? Inconsistent color

Review:

Last year I planted Empress of India and loved the deep green leaves and red blooms. I think I like this one even more. However, I'm not sure if I received an error seed from Baker Creek or not, but it seems not all the plants bare the same color flowers. I have one plant that is more of a purple color. Not a color I've seen before in Nasturtium.

What are the cons? N/A

Review:

This variety of nasturtium are so lovely. Easy to grow, like all nasturtium, but has a dark green leaf with a purple edge. Mine have yet to flower, but I am sure the blooms will be beautiful.

What are the pros? so many flowers, that wow

What are the cons? none

Review:

I was so impressed. Here in Alaska where we have cold soils. 24 hr. sun and hail in July, it fills the container, spreads down the sides and across the grass. Used it in a well at the cemetery and community ctr. and it was spectacular with little care.
