85 days. Delicious red flesh that is very sweet and crisp; has been a family favorite of ours for many years. Medium-large size and a good shipper. A very good melon. Rare.

Review:

This variety grew well for me last year despite cooler and wetter conditions. I was able to collect around a half-dozen melons from last years harvest. They were very sweet and crisp and have possibly climbed to second on my list behind Orangeglo. The flesh is a beautiful scarlet color and full of juice and flavor. I highly recommend that you give this a try!!

What are the cons? large seeds

Review:

Klondike Blue Ribbon is one of the sweetest watermelons that I have tried. Not only is it super sweet, it is also a very good producer. I am getting 3-4 watermelons per plant every year that I grow it. For me, the melons are medium sized, usually 15-20 pounds.

What are the pros? Delicious, great texture

What are the cons? none

Review:

This has been the best performing and best tasting watermelon I have grown both of the last two years (out of 4 varieties each year). It was developed just down the road in Davis, so it likes this arid west climate. Although the flavor is exceptional, my favorite part of this melon is the texture--it is firm and cleaves when you bite into it. What are you waiting for? Go ahead and plant some.
