80 days. The tiny and popular, yet hard-to-find, white “lady pea.” They are superbly flavored and are very tender. The short plants are great for small gardens, and yields are high. One of our most asked for varieties.

What are the pros? Grew without chlorosis

What are the cons? Small beans

Review:

I like these because they produced well in my heavy alkaline clay soil. I prefer the purple hullsbut have to grow those in compost since they get severe chlorosis in my soil.

What are the pros? Tolerates a lot of weather

What are the cons? None

Review:

The only crop that has not failed me in the last 3 years which included drought and heavy rain - these lovely ladies even bounced back after a heavy hail storm. Las year I had maybe 1/3rd of other cowpeas and lima beans thrive, but all of the ladypeas produced well. I did not find it worth drying as they get too dry and do not cook well. They are tiny, but easy to shell and lovely fresh or frozen. These are on my permanent seed list.

What are the pros? Great taste, good production.

What are the cons? Much larger than advertised.

Review:

I planted late in the season under a trellis; and they rose to 5 foot.Picked four times each picking providing lots of fresh peas and lots of dry peas -best production ever for me in a southern pea. Really good, classic field pea flavor. And best of all; totally resistant to pest that had ruined earlier crops.
