What are the pros? Flavor, colors, texture
What are the cons? took a long time to grow
I grew these in spring 2014. I don't know if it was anything I did to the soil (used turkey dropping fertilizer, transplanted to healthier soil, grew them in a forest meadow) but these took their time to mature and fruit. My plants grew really tall as I built support for them with bamboo rods. I think my tallest plant reached 13' high with support. These plants attracted a lot of visitors and sheltered some. I received about twenty fruit from three healthy plants. They were the best I had ever tasted. They also look great with their metallic colors shining in the sun. They're better fresh, I'd say, than cooked!
