What are the pros? Flavor, Abundence
What are the cons? A little slow growing
AMAZING flavor for salsas and chicken dishes. One plant gave us more peppers than we knew what to do with. Hot pepper, but not too extreme (it's about twice that of a jalapeno). At the end of the season, I dried the remaining peppers, even the greenish ones, and made pepper flakes for cooking (YUM!). We did only a fair amount of full sun, in the climate of Northern Oregon, and these still grew great--although a bit late fruiting as a result. A must for years to come.
