Millet, German Foxtail

(Setaria italica) Sow in spring or early summer. Used as a cover crop, hay or pasture. Chickens adore the small white seeds. Grows from 2-5 feet tall. Very drought-tolerant crop that is believed to have been used in China for nearly 5000 years, and grown in the US since 1849.
