What are the pros? Mild flavor, fast-growing

What are the cons? None

Review:

These sprouted in just a couple days, and were ready to harvest as baby greens in two weeks. Love that they are heat-tolerant and milder in taste/not as spicy as the mustard greens that grow so well in our climate zone. Nice texture and look pretty in salads.

What are the pros? Great Green

What are the cons? Flea beetle magnet

Review:

Grow this in the fall and winter for a great salad green when picked small, or a wonderful stir fry green when picked mature. This will produce for a long, long time. It is very tasty, with a mild, mustardy taste. Our family really likes it. It is not heat tolerant, and flea beetles love it. Grow it in the fall for best results. It's also great in a hoop house over the winter. Enjoy!

What are the pros? Great taste, easy to grow

Review:

This is one of my favorite vegetables. It sprouts in about 2 days after sowing and is a fast grower. Requires little care, just watering. If you let one or two plants go to seed, the seeds that drop to the ground will sprout and grow new plants during the same season. I sow in rows about 4 or 5 feet long. To harvest, I cut one or two leaves from any given plant. The cut leaves will be replaced. Great as a salad green or chopped up and placed over tofu together with chopped green onions. Has a really nice flavor.

What are the pros? Easy to grow

What are the cons? Sparse leaves

Review:

Very easy to grow in partial shade, and grows very quickly. Direct and surface sow these seeds -- you'd have to try to mess them up. Grows fine in my small containers. Makes excellent microgreens. Plant a lot of it, or you'll eat it all before they reach maturity!

Review:

I grew this for the first time this year and was I ever surprised at the wonderfully smooth flavor and how easily itgrew and came back over and over again from early spring until the 90 degree temps hit. Will be in the garden from now on. And I will grow it in the dirt floor greenhose too. Its supposed to stand up very well to a freeze. Cant wait to try it this winter.
