seeded these into a giant pot in october here in hawaii, and after a slow start (it was blasting hot--it was chilly with heavy rains--it was severely windy--it was our winter) we've been seeing the pretty heading effect, and eating the outer leaves. after thinning out the copious plants (from the excellent germination) i now have 4 good plants in a giant pot, with a marigold and a few onions on the side. all seem happy together.morris has a very nice, mild flavor, and no real cabbagey odor either in the garden or when cooking. and possibly best of all, the cabbage loopers (which we enjoy year round here) have not been very interested in this variety, while they're gobbling up the tuscan kale nearby. i'm very happy, as my southern husband needs his mess of greens!
