What are the pros? None to speak of
What are the cons? Poor production
Every garden is different so take this for what it's worth and apply it as you see fit. This was my first (and last) attempt at growing Mortgage Lifter tomatoes. I staggered the plants in rows of six between rows of Brandywine and Cherokee Purple. Both the Brandywine and Cherokee Purple tomatoes produced wonderfully, a very good year. The Mortgage Lifter plants couldn't seem to ever reach anything I would call robust or productive. As I said, the plants were staggered throughout the length of the tomato plot (65 plants in all) so I can assume that they simply do not take well to my hot and humid climate.
