What are the pros? Superhero of a vine

What are the cons? Are you kidding ?!

Review:

We have been planting these now 3 years in a row: 8 vines of "National" on one side and 8 of "Boston" on the other. The vines climb up kite string to an 8-foot height. Last summer National won the "first to the top" race, although Boston had beaten it the previous season. Vines are strong, vigorous 8 to 10 feet and pushing out cukes as if they were possessed. Previous year I processed 60 pounds of pickles per wall. This year is's over 75 (easy). Family and friends are happy not buying cukes at the store during summertime, and everyone loves my pickles (4 different recipes now). Husband said we should be thinking of investing into a second pickle crock. Our honeybees love the flowers, so we don't spray anything toxic. The vines stand up to mildew quite well, and 2014 season lasted all the way to first week of October. Boston vs. National… I wonder which is going to win the race this summer?

What are the pros? Productive and great taste

What are the cons? too many to pick!

Review:

I love this variety and have tried others but don't see the point in trying anything else. With good soil these produce at ridiculous rates. I had a row of about 8 trellised plants and for about a 6 week window picked about 30 cucumbers per day! I will scale down a bit next year because I just had more than I could handle. I can't fail to mention these are great fresh eating cucumbers. My wife and I enjoy the less watery pickling varieties and this one is top notch. This will likely be the only cucumber I grow.

What are the pros? Heavy producer

What are the cons? None

Review:

Planted 4 hills they spread over 20 x 20 foot area of the garden. They produced more than enough to fill a case of pints for pickles every day for weeks. No doubt I will plant fewer of them next year.
