After trying and failing with other types of spinach here in Honolulu I gave this one a try because of its heat tolerance. Has grown great with 80 degree temperatures and constantly sunny days. Haven't gone through a rainy winter yet so will see how it fairs with a bit of rain and lack of sunshine. Overall glad to finally have a cooked spinach in my garden even if eating it raw isn't an option. Funny thing is I found this growing wild on Maui right near the ocean.
