What are the pros? Easy to grow

What are the cons? Red rooted pigweed

Review:

This plant is basically a weed. I grew 3 stalks about 2 1/2' to 3' apart that reached at least 7' tall. If I'd have been more attentive to watering, they may have been much taller. Pests didn't bother it besides a few leaf holes. They are very sturdy plants. A windstorm that knocked over some pole beans and cut down my quinoa only succeeded in bowing these fellers. They all produced a ton of seed, but next year I plan to try harvesting with a bucket, because rubbing it between my fingers is tedious and takes time. Unfortunately, I didn't save seed because I suspect it got friendly with the Red-rooted Pigweed I was lazy to pull. As I write, I'm munching on the tasty leaves from the hundreds of sprouts that have set upon my fall plantings from seeds that fell. Like I said, I will use a bucket next time. Thank you, Baker Creek!
