75 days. Brilliant orange, oxheart fruits have a pronounced point at the blossom end, giving them one of the most perfect heart shapes of any tomato variety known. The fruits sometimes reach a pound in weight. The flavor of the meaty fruits is robust, complex and surprisingly tart for an orange variety. Few seeds and solid flesh make this variety good for canning or sauce. Introduced by Dr. Carolyn Male via Seed Savers in 1995.

What are the pros? Low Acid and Heavy Fruit

What are the cons? none

Review:

My wife loves the low acid taste. I like the slight pumpkin smell when slicing. The largest one this year was 1 lb. 9.9 oz. Just a cool looking bright orange color. They are perfect for Salsa when mixed with Beaver Lodge Slicers. Thank you, these were really rewarding and put a smile on every ones face that seen and ate them.

What are the pros? Vigorous, tall, strong plants

What are the cons? No flavor

Review:

Everything else I grew from seed from Baker's Creek was delicious but these tomato plants were amazingly disappointing! They were nearly 7' tall, strong and grew a ton of large, firm orange tomatoes but they tasted like nothing! I love love love tomatoes and was looking forward to canning them and making sauce and eating them plain but they had no flavor. I grew them at my house and my parents and both batches of over 20 plants had no taste. I was so sad! I ended up feeding all the tomatoes to my chickens. They liked them.

What are the pros? easy, vigorous

What are the cons? late maturing

Review:

I just picked my first ripe one and it was quite delicious. As mentioned above, it weighed 1lb. 5 oz. My plants have all managed to reach about six feet tall. Still waiting patiently for more fruit to ripen. Thanks again!
