Ozark Pink Tomato

A wonderfully smooth tomato with attractive pink color, good flavor and the ability to make the perfect tomato for the kitchen or the market. Fruit are medium to large in size and are produced in abundance on very productive, disease resistant plants. The perfect tomato for Ozark Mountains and all hot, humid areas. Developed by the University of Arkansas. A favorite of area farmers market growers.

What are the pros? Surprisingly productive

What are the cons? None

Review:

Heirlooms aren't always hardy producers, especially if you're planting something that was developed for specific growing conditions. However, these Ozark Pink were some of the best producers we had last year and we will definitely plant again! They were prolific and produced early and very late into the growing season - we still had them coming in mid-October. Very easy keepers.

What are the pros? Good flavor, crack resistant

What are the cons? produced a little late

Review:

We had a rather dry summer then, suddenly, tons of rain. Two of the other tomato varieties I'm growing this year cracked terribly (Amish paste and Pink Oxheart) but the Ozark Pinks didn't crack and continued to produce consistent fruits in spite of the fluctuations in rain and temperature. They fruit a bit late, so definitely not an early variety but a great option.

What are the pros? Beautiful Color

What are the cons? None

Review:

This is a beautiful tomato, with a lovely pink hue. These have produced well, even amidst the unusually wet, cool summer ... perhaps because I live in the Ozarks :) They did not crack like many other varieties this year and have a perfectly round shape. The texture is not mushy, and the flavor is nice. I will grow more of these next year.

What are the pros? Shape of fruit

What are the cons? None

Review:

These were picture perfect looking tomatoes, nice round shaped, all of them even and produced pretty heavy, my only thing about them was the flavor was good but not great.

Review:

These tomatoes did very well! Between the stinkbugs, cicadas and japanese beetles my garden had a pretty tough summer. These plants had high yields and didn't crack or malform from fluctuations in watering the way my bigger tomatoes did. The taste was very good and they were beautiful, besides!
