90 days. The most beautiful pea we grow; the peas are mottled half white and half red. Very productive bush plants that set on loads of tasty small peas. This fine variety was developed by Horus Botanicals of Salem, Arkansas.

What are the pros? drought tolerant producer
What are the cons? none
Added this variety to the mix of trial peas for the garden this year. I live in Central Florida, an area with very sandy soil that is notorious for nematodes. This pea was the star performer alongside others such as the classic standard clay peas. The garden they were planted into is in second year of cultivation (low in organic soil composition) and nitrogen fixing was important trait. I didn't inoculate anything and the Razorback peas showed nitrogen nodules when roots were pulled. Last, I found this pea could go long periods (over 20 days) in hot (93F ) temps with little to no supplemental watering. Yes, I put them to the test and they came through like champs!

What are the pros? Name
What are the cons? nothing
While not a pea eater myself, most of my family loves them. I tried these a few years ago, because of the name, and got rave reviews from everyone who eats them. My mom says that they have a creamier taste and texture than purple hulls. This is all we grow now. We are able to save see from year to year, since we are the only ones around that grow peas.
