What are the pros? Sweet, thick-fleshed
What are the cons? Tempermental
This may be the best-tasting pepper I have ever grown. Even the texture is amazing when fully ripe. It's also the lowest-yielding for the second year in a row. Grown in 5 gallon buckets, I get maybe 4 beautiful golden peppers per plant by July, and then nothing until late September when I get another 4-6 per plant if I am lucky, 2 if not. No problems fully ripening as others mention, and the first harvest is under 80 days, but they don't like the intense heat and humidity of August and drop all flowers if there is a heat wave. I'm looking for a variety as delicious and visually appealing that is better suited to my climate, but I will still grow a few next year. Not for beginners IMO.
