I always come back to this variety every year. This year we moved from TN to MI and I was surprised to see that eggplant was easier to grow here. I moved my seedlings and planted them late. despite the stress they thrived. I also bought some hybrid long eggplant from the local nursery. While they grew fine, the flavor was bitter (and required salting) and the skins were tough. The Ping Tungs were perfect and were sweet enough to go straight into any dish without pre-salting first.
