I have never been able to grow eggplant successfully, until now. These were wonderful little eggplant bushes. I grew three total plants and probably harvested about 10-12 eggplants per bush; primarily in August and September. For me the first one on each plant was bitter, but the successive ones were not. They were perfect for sauteing or stir frying. They were susceptible to colorado potato beetle larvae in its first growing stages, but really easy to see the buggers underneath the leaves. Not sure if it was the plant, or just the invasion in my area. The plant thrived after killing off the bugs. Would definitely recommend this heirloom type.
