Very delicious, bright pink fruit are shaped like a dazzling pink icicle. The flavor is very sweet and rich, being one of the best tasting pink paste types we've tried. Perfect for salsas and preserving, but also one of our favorites last season to eat fresh out of hand right in the garden. This variety was an incredible producer, and even though it has a small amount of seeds per fruit, we were still able to get a large crop of seeds due to its productiveness. Developed in the former Soviet Union, this is truly a masterpiece of tomato breeding. Introduced by us from the Ukraine along with its yellow, orange and black sisters.

Review:

Many of my neighbors and friends had a hard time with their tomatoes this year, but not me. All of my Baker Creek tomatoes produced and produced. Especially these Pink Icicles-they kept on a coming. They have for sure earned themselves a permanent place in my garden.

Great flavor. Super sweet! We had a dark corner of the garden where the sun only shone half of the time. This tomato thrived in that cool corner and has become one of our favorites for our difficult garden spot!

What are the pros? Nice flavor, season extender

What are the cons? Doesn't take heat well

Review:

I've grown this variety two years in a row. Last year, there was a drought and the tomatoes were not too productive. During this period, half of them had blossom-end rot. At the end of the season when my other tomatoes were dying off, the Pink Icicles began to produce beautiful, unblemished, flavorful fruit. I think they just need cooler weather to perform their best.

I currently have this tomato growing along with 10 or so other varieties. These plants have so many tomatoes on them. I have picked a couple and they taste incredibly sweet.

Review:

I can't say enough about this tomato. When I first saw it next to the other paste tomatoes I didn't notice that it was different until I was harvesting and what a beautiful harvest. The plants produced a huge amount of tomatoes. They were loaded with the most stunning slender pink fruit. I was not disappointed by the taste of these gems, they have a fruity, sweet, rich and well balanced flavor as good as any heirloom I grow (this year it was 122 varieties).I can't wait to try the black and orange ones but the pink will always be on my plant list.
