75 Days. A large Jalapeno pepper that turns deep purple before maturing to red. Full Jalapeno flavor and heat; great for salsa and other Mexican foods. Plants both productive and ornamental.

What are the pros? Extremly Prolific

What are the cons? Small Size and little Heat

Review:

First they are too tiny for jalepeno poppers so forget stuffing them easily. they weer VERY prolific and early..the first peppers to produce and i planted 9 varieties. the other problem was i chose the largest and made poppers and to my dismay it was like eating a sweet pepper./...good flavor but zero heat. i did notice if you picked them green or just as they were turning purple they had heat with the seeds left in..so maybe a good pickling pepper?

What are the pros? sweet flavor, great color

What are the cons? not hot, slow grow

Review:

These start purple and ripen to red. They are smaller than the jalapenos you see in the store, maybe half the size. I let mine ripen till I saw the tiniest bit of red and then picked them and they had the sweetest least spicy jalapeno flavor I've ever experienced. My roommate HATES spicy food and he was eating big pieces of these things raw. Amazing sweet mild heat flavor tho. I didn't have many fruits but I think it was mostly because I had a massive caterpillar attack and a freak hail storm (in Florida!) that really messed them up. Beautiful purple flowers as well!

What are the pros? color and taste, medium hot.

What are the cons? none

Review:

i have ordered these 4 years in a row and I have always grown them in 5 gallon buckets. and have had Excellent Results every time. I have Good drainage and use good soil not over furtilized so they dont get burned from being grown in a container.I find that these are usually not overly hot, but sometime are and they have great flavor. I use them to make salsa and pickled peppers.

What are the pros? Most seeds germinated

What are the cons? Small plant, small peppers

Review:

These are gorgeous peppers, very slow growing, thin and short. I stared these at the end of March it's now almost July they are 12" tall with just a few pods now. Can't wait to eat one. If your peppers aren't germinating, You need an incubator or heat pad. 80 to 85 F. takes about 21 days. Remember, water from the bottom.

What are the pros? Very reliable!

What are the cons? You have to add water. :-)

Review:

Every seed sprouted that I planted indoors in starter pots during the winter. Now they're in the garden and growing beautifully. Easy to grow. Very healthy plants with good sunshine and water.
