(Phaseolus vulgaris) Beans are a big thing in India. The so called Rajama or Rajma beans are just selected varieties of Kidney beans that were introduced to India as little as a hundred years ago. In the northern Province of Himachal Pradesh, Rajama beans are a very important crop. The Indians make a type of “goulash or chili” with these beans, that is simply called: “Rajma”, it’s made of the beans, a dense gravy-like base and lots of spices. These pink beans will probably produce plants that are trailers (not true vines) in their growth form, Joe has grown out a lot of “kidney like beans collected in India and most of them form prostrate plants that are just loaded with pods and very disease resistant.
