What are the pros? Easy to grow from seed, quick

What are the cons? tough and bitter

Review:

I guess I should just stick to "mild" veggies but I felt like we really bombed on this one. I planted two 4' rows and a few weeks later we had rapini, so no trouble to grow. But I think the description of "asparagus-like" in the description should be changed. I expected a thicker, more tender stalk. The stalks were stringy and tough and the leaves were hairy/spiny and bitter; I'd really rather eat the pigweed that I pulled out of the same space. I'd appreciate some cooking pointers (I chopped and sauteed it with some milder greens mixed in) in case I'm missing out on something here, since I still have quite a bit of the packet left and it's so easy to grow.

What are the pros? Vigor, Flavor

What are the cons? None

Review:

This beat the pants off all my other brassicas, this Spring. It's hearty, grows quickly, and I found it to be fairly drought resistant. I accidentally let my sprouts go completely dry for a day (prior to moving them outside). I lost about 10% of the rapini, but closer to 50% of my other plants. It also transplanted very well, no shock that I could see. I can't speak more highly about this little winner.

What are the pros? Tastes great.

What are the cons? None

Review:

So easy to grow you have to take what you want to eat quick because flowers and goes to seed quickly. I had some with breakfast (omelets), lunch and dinner. 2-3 plants was more than enough for my husband and me.

What are the pros? my son like it

What are the cons? bitter

Review:

i tried this to add variety to our meals. the first thing i noticed was that it was very bitter, while this did not apeal to me, my young son loved it. So, due to my kid being a huge fan and wanting to keep his interest in healthy food we will do these again

What are the pros? delicious and easy to use

What are the cons? very tough stalk.

Review:

disappointed in how fibrous and tough the stalk is. When I chopped up all the Rapini into a saute, we could not eat anything except the leaves as the stalk was like chewing on a toothpick. The leaves are wonderful and tender and this grew very quickly
