An excellent choice for home gardeners, this is a compact, less aggressive variety that does not threaten to overtake your garden. The gorgeous purple fruit have an intense flavor that is perfect for fresh eating and making wine and jam. Hardy from zones 4-8, these plants are self fruiting and quite productive. We are super excited to be offering a selection of live plants, these are produced for us by tissue culture, a natural process that produces plants that are generally high-quality and disease free. We have some stunning new food crops in our plant listing, we hope you will try some of the exciting rare plants we offer this year. Pre-order now, as supplies on some these will be limited. The plants we ship are small, but sturdy, and we offer a 30 day guarantee on live plants. Most plants will be 6”-12” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of April to the end of June. We will ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed delivery dates. No orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs, just pay our regular $3.50. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER APRIL 1, 2017)

What are the pros? Great price, well packed

What are the cons? None

Review:

I ordered these planting in January with my Spring seed order. The bushes arrived in great shape. 10' tall. I look forward to adding these to my beds. The ability to be in containers or the ground was a huge sell for me.

What are the pros? They have survived

What are the cons? very small, slow to start

Review:

Received these last year. They were very small plants (3 to 4"). Seemed a bit disappointing compared to raspberry plants at the stores. At first they didn't seem to do much after planting (compared to blackberries we received at same time and started growing immediately). They grew slowly through the summer, and then started taking off in the fall. Starting to see growth starting for this year. Hoping to get some fruit this year.

What are the pros? Very vigorous and healthy

What are the cons? none

Review:

These were very small but healthy when they arrived. I potted them into 1 gallon pots, which they rapidly outgrew. I re-potted them onto 5 gallon pots, which they outgrew by mid summer. They are now in the ground and are attempting to take over the garden. I am very happy with their health and vigor.

What are the pros? Great price! Healthy plants.

What are the cons? Very small, will need TLC.

Review:

I received my 4 Glencoe Raspberry plants today. They are very green and healthy, no leaves look sick or droopy due to transit. They are in excellent condition, thank you Baker Creek for taking such care to make sure these plants will travel safely. :) For others considering to purchase these plants, they are 2-3 inches tall and are in small starter plugs, the size you would start seeds in. They came in a very small box packed with packaging peanuts and were placed inside plastic bags with moisture. They will need a lot of TLC before transplanting outside IMO due to how small they are. I will be placing mine in pots to grow indoors for a while after they have grown a better root ball, have more height, and all danger of frost has passed in my area. They could be hardy enough to be transplanted outside, I honestly don't know, but I'd like to be safe rather than sorry as it is my first time with them. :) All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and cannot wait for berries! :)
