What are the pros? Color, texture, taste
What are the cons? Slow start
This is our 2nd year growing this, it's a bit slow to come up in our region (6B) but once it gets about 6 inches tall it takes right off then and bushes out in a hurry. The nice thing is, it loves the heat. We've above 110? heat for the last 3 weeks or so and its gone nuts!
The taste is great, it does have a hint of spinach flavor but it was the texture that threw me at first because it has a watery middle to it but the kids like. It is great in salads though, we've never tried it cooked. Definitely something I'm keeping every year.
