What are the pros? Unique color and appearance

What are the cons? I should have grown more!

Review:

We had a great set of blooms our first year, and without exception people ask "what is that?" The color is stunning. Plants are drought tolerant, and tolerant of imperfect soil conditions. I had best luck starting inside and transplanting.

What are the pros? low maintenance, natural

What are the cons? none

Review:

I ordered this because it's a NC native, not because I thought it was a beautiful flower. I am, however, pleasantly surprised. This spring I planted them in containers just a few weeks before my last frost date and then planted them in the ground shortly after. They're already blooming and are quite pretty. They're much redder than they appear in the image above and the foliage is a nice silvery green. They have a nice natural look. Best of all, they require absolutely no maintenance and don't appear to be bothered by any pests. I haven't watered them in weeks! I'll plant more this fall for blooms next year.
