What are the pros? Heat Tolerant

What are the cons? Grew bigger than expected

Review:

Red Ripper did very well through the hot summer and low humidity of the San Joaquin Valley. They set lots of pods, even with a bit of shade during the day. A great summer cover crop and the beans taste much better than regular Black-Eyed Peas.

What are the pros? disease resistant

What are the cons? over took the garden

Review:

These are the most vigorous, disease resistant, heat tolerant cowpeas I've ever grown. They thrived in our hot humid summer, and took over my garden. They grew past the trellis I provided and covered a large bush nearby. They did take a little longer to mature than other cowpeas I've grown, but once they got started they produced a ton.
