What are the pros? Soft, nothing bitter, quick
What are the cons? None
The only effort on my part that this blend took was tearing the top of the packet off and watering twice daily until the seeds germinated. The sun and rain did the rest. Lettuces are surface seeds, so don't poke or dig. Just sprinkle the seeds and rub clumps of soil between your hands to dust over . It's very light and airy mix. I used to grow Mesclun, and I'll never do it again. There are no bitter greens in this. This blend came in quick enough that we still had to wait for the Black Seed Simpson, Rouge d'hiver, and Chard. I lost count of how many cuttings we got from this. I know it was at least 4 or 5 from just a small patch of about 9 or 10 square feet. It came back extremely quick after clipping it down. I only stopped clipping to see if I could get it to go to seed for next year, and I knew I was going to re-sew a fresh patch. Very slow to bolt. Good heat tolerance. Very tasty and mild! I highly recommend to those who stay away from bitter greens.
