70-80 days. Beautiful, nicely-shaped 4-to 8-oz fruit are a rose-pink color and have an excellent sweet flavor that has made it a hit with many growers. The vines set good yields of this lovely variety from Historic Switzerland.

What are the pros? Beautiful fruit, Great taste.

What are the cons? None

Review:

This tomato has zoomed up to the top of my favorites list. Beautiful plants that produces generous crops of medium sized tomatoes. Fruit is uniform in size and has a sweet/tart balance but not overly acidic flavor. I have grown this the past 3 years with very different summers from unusually hot to unusually cool and this tomato has never disappointed. I will plant these every year, My only advice is to remember that this is a pink tomato. Don't let it over ripen before harvesting.

What are the cons? Use fresh. Does not store well

Review:

I have family heirloom tomatoes (a Brandywine) that I used to grow exclusively. However, Rose deBerne from Baker Creek is the only seed I buy and grow, in addition. I mention the Brandywines because I think this Rose deBerne tomato has that excellent flavor, thin skin, meaty interior, and it ripens earlier than larger tomatoes. It is also versatile, being good for both sandwiches or a flavorful tomato sauce when cooked with some herbs.

Review:

Last season I grew this tomato from the seeds from Baker Creek. Everything was ok except half of those seeds in package were some sturdy red cherry type (maybe a cross) and half really rose de berne. Anyway, last season was so hot in southern Europe, with terrible drought, so these tomatoes were so sweet, more like a peach or apricot. So I had to pick them underripe. Trying them again for sure!
