These lovely, large purple dahlia-type flowers are perfect by themselves or in mixed bouquets. A real show stopper.

What are the pros? Reseeds Itself, Long Lasting

What are the cons? None

Review:

I first planted this beauty in 2014. The plants grew to over 5 feet tall. Blooms last for weeks. Loves the hot Texas sun. I collected seeds for a few months, until I had more than I needed, and then started simply tossing seeds around the garden. This year, I was delighted to see hundreds of baby zinnias come up all over the garden, and even one in the driveway crack.

What are the pros? large plants,no powdery mildew

What are the cons? none

Review:

I have grown this both at home and at Toledo Botanical Garden for 3 years now. The plant gets huge, the foliage stays clean, and the flowers are very nice. The only plant that I noticed with powdery mildew was planted in sand and was not-irrigated well (the combination of the two don't mix well for most ornamental plants).

What are the pros? Beautiful flower! Vibrant!

What are the cons? I didn't plant enough of them!

Review:

We picked up these seeds on a trip to CA and just planted them in September in Northern Florida. They are more than out-performing the potted zinnias we purchased from a local nursery and are GORGEOUS!
