Good yields of small, delicious cream-colored peas, one of the parent varieties of “Zipper Cream.” An heirloom from the late 1800’s, great for growing in the South. Long vining plants.

Review:

UPDATE: Here is is August 19, over a month from posting my review, and these peas are still producing. They need to be picked every few days. You are going to get plenty of dried ones for seeds in the coming years & gobs to eat. I highly recommend these.

Review:

I am growing these on cattle panels that I formed as a wall. These will climb, but still sprall. I basically planted 80 ft. running of these trellised. I have picked these twice now. I have picked a bushel and a 1/2 just this week. If these continue to produce like this, they will always have a home here. These taste fantastic. My husband always talked about eating Lady Cream Peas when he was a boy. These are very similar. I would recommend them to anyone. We have drip tubing on all the garden, but NOT the peas. Every now and then I just put a little water on them. Going strong!!!

Review:

We've grown these field peas (aka cowpeas) for two years now, saving some of our own seed last year and augmenting with leftover seeds. The vines are prolific, they're definitely a running variety! We use 4-foot tall cattle panels as trellises for these field peas and they love it (and grow back down once they're reached the top). These taste great and we're very happy with the yield here in zone 7 North Carolina.
