What are the cons? Very big vine
Our family has always grown a variety of these squash. We called them cucuzzas. If they get too big you can peel and chop them and cook in a stew with tomatoes onions and garlic and a little Italian seasoning. Delicious. Another way is to bake them with ground beef stuffing.
One vine covered the entire trellis over our 12' x 20' patio and we probably picked about 30 squash from it that year. Sadly we have moved and I have no place to plant them now.
