What are the pros? Easy to grow, Good tasting
What are the cons? None
These Shogoin Turnips grow well in NW AZ too. They come up fast and mature quickly. Leaves for salad in as little as 28 days. Good for soups, roasted, fried or mashed. I usually plant them as a fall crop in late September or early October, harvest from mid-November through mid-December (covered by a hoop house if frost threatens). Then I plant them again in late January or Early February for a spring crop. I do the same with Purple Top White Globe and Boule d'Or Turnips.
