Perennial. Here’s a stunning addition to the wild garden, meadow plantings and more! Delicate-looking, four-petaled flowers are generously produced all summer long. Two- to four-inch blooms are in soft pink, with very narrow lines or veins in darker pink, set off by buttercup-yellow throats. Flowers bloom in the evening and are great habitat for moths, but often remain open the following day. Plants reach 2 feet tall in favored locations. Spreads slowly by underground runners, hardy in all but the coldest one- third of the country. Native to the southern Plains states.
