What are the pros? .

What are the cons? Bolts fast, uneven mix

Review:

I planted this for the first time this spring and despite our cool summers in northern MN (almost zone 2), it has already bolted. I will be pulling it out and replacing with a fall crop. May try it again as a winter greenhouse item for home use.

What are the pros? Great variety and germination

What are the cons? Don't know what's in it

Review:

I love Asian greens, and thought this would be a great match for me to try! Many of them are high in calcium and iron, and as a vegan, it would be nutritious addition to my diet. I planted this in April, zone 9, and I'm harvesting baby leaves now! I'll thin it later and let some grow to maturity. The spring was erratic, with temps ranging from 40s to 80s, sometimes in the same day, but it grew well just the same. The variety is incredible! I recognize a variety of brassicas, such as kale, komatsuna, loose-leaf Asian cabbage, tatsoi, pak/bok choi, turnip greens (maybe), and more. It would be nice to know what's in it so I can make sure I'm not eating a weed (know your weeds--some are toxic). I got very good germination with seed a few years old. So far I've eaten it fresh, but can't wait to try a stir fry. A new favorite to grow every year!

What are the pros? Interesting mix

What are the cons? Kids don't like it

Review:

Is there any way to get a listing of exactly what's in it? These mixes are too "spicy" for my kids so I avoid them for now until they grow up a bit more. But very interesting mix in a stir fry. I'd just like to know what's in it so I can pick and choose what to grow next time.

What are the pros? Good taste, easy grow!

What are the cons? None.

Review:

I grew this in both porch boxes with potting soil and then in the ground the following year. Both places performed very well, a nice surprise for me in my tough conditions. The greens were all very tasty. At the end of the season I let them mature to their little mini plant sizes and they were still delish and tender. The next year I had little volunteers from scattered seed that hung out around the gravel. They are pretty hardy to boot.

This was my first time with this mix, and I found it interesting and flavorful! I got great comments on it form friends, too. I am definitely planting it this spring, 2014.
