Long day, 120 days. First released in 1873, and still one of the best. Firm fleshed, medium sized, globe-shaped, deep red roots are one of the best keepers of any red onion. Carries some resistance to fusarium rot. Truly a top-notch producer for the North!

What are the pros? great
What are the cons? no I dont dislike I like
It held up better then weathersfield onion in my garden it is only 7/22/13 all my southport still have hard strong necks and still growing larger bulbs even under stressful conditions the other onion I mentioned the neck already got soft and bulb not as large or healthy as as the southport and leaves fell over and started to yellow so I had to pick them I will always grow southport again and the weatherfield is ok aswell but if forced to chose I would have to go to the southport for my stable winter stock!!
