NEW - Louisiana variety originally collected in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, at the heart of Cajun heritage and culture, where it was found growing near an old, abandoned homestead nearly 50 years ago. The plants are fairly compact, reaching 5-6 feet in height, and are super productive! The pods stay tender to 6"-7" in length. Original seed was furnished by our friend, collector Kurt Bridges.

What are the pros? Tastes great, grows well

What are the cons? No dislikes

Review:

We grew this okra last year and it did great! Ours grew to be 12' tall and produced a lot of okra even though we had a hot summer.

What are the pros? Great Producer, Great Taste

What are the cons? No real dislikes after 2 years

Review:

We have been growing this variety for two years and have never been disappointed, even in the hottest, driest summers. They perform in wet or dry weather. But what makes this variety the best is that the pods can get extremely long (upwards of 6 in.) without becoming woody, better than any variety I've ever tried. Heavy producer even at 7 feet tall. Great for drying or freezing and the flavor is wonderful. We have Dried, Frozen and Pickle this variety with great results. We highly recommend this variety.
