80-100 days. Colorful red fruit have vibrant yellow stripes. They are stunning! This variety has lobed fruit, like a bell pepper, and thick walls, making it perfect for stuffing. Good sized fruit are fine flavored, and they really draw attention at Farmers' Markets.

What are the pros? Delicious and unique

What are the cons? Nothing

Review:

Amazing! I tried to grow these in Massachusetts with little success. I am glad I tried again after moving to CA. Highly productive here in CA. Large thick walled and colorful tomatoes. Baked and stuffed with Chimichurri Rice is my favorite way to eat these fabulous tomatoes! Definitely, will be planting this one year after year! Planted out in mid April and had dozens of ripe tomatoes 2nd week July.

Review:

I've grown these for several years now (from saved seed after the first year), and no matter what abuse I put them through, they still produce heavily and consistently. Even neglecting to water them for weeks during this summer's drought (and missing a massive tobacco hornworm infestation!) wasn't enough to kill them... they kept growing and producing right up until the first hard frost. With great production, good flavor, and amazing drought tolerance (at least for me), this variety is a definite keeper in my garden!

Review:

While I found the plants to be vulnerable to septoria leaf spot, they produced just an absurd number of tomatoes anyway -- because they're partly hollow (they float high in the water), and hence the plant doesn't spend as much energy on each tomato. An unscrupulous market seller could make a mint off them because of that; plus, they're very beautiful and eye catching. It's shaped like a small bell pepper, and it has a good, classic tomato flavor. If you make stuffed tomatoes with it ,make sure that whatever you stuff it with is rich-flavored or the tomato will overpower the other flavors.
