65 days. Long, ribbed, dark green fruit can grow to 18”. They are very mild, sweet and burpless. One of my personal favorites for fresh eating. This productive heirloom comes from northern China and is very attractive.

What are the pros? Absolutely everything

What are the cons? None

Review:

A man in a nursery told me to try this variety 8 years ago, and said it was the very best. He was right. I have been growing this ever since. Suyo is a prolific producer of crisp, sweet, almost seedless cucumbers. Although we eat 2 or 3 fresh daily and give always armfuls to our neighbors, I still had some left over and tried pickling them this year. They came out great. I will continue to try new varieties each year, but I don't know why. This one always turns out to be our absolute favorite!

What are the pros? never bitter, very long.

What are the cons? none

Review:

These cucumbers did beautifully even in our extremely hot and humid (think Bangkok) climate. They began to produce beautifully as the days became hot. Beautiful and prolific. I don't remember a bitter one. Just had to keep them watered as our soil was sandy and dried out quickly. We mulched and used manure. Shared them all over the neighborhood. A 90 year old neighbor said it was the best cucumber she had ever eaten! ??? I have since moved to Virginia and am eager to try them in my new garden. : )

What are the pros? Easy to grow, great taste

What are the cons? Nothing

Review:

These cucumbers are eay to grow, used direct sow method, in late may & had cucumbers into early October! Decided to trellis them, plants grew just over 6ft, loads of very large 12 -18 inch, delicious tasting cucumbers. My friends & family couldn't get enough. This is a must try, will be planting these for many years to come.

What are the pros? Prolific, not bitter

What are the cons? Does not grow evenly, taste

Review:

I found at lot of these cucs grow fat on one end and thin on the other. They also produce a lot of seeds if you let them get more than 2-3 in thick and then they are no good for eating. I found that they do not taste like a typical cucumber, but like a cuc-melon cross or something. They are not bitter, sure, but they do not taste like cucumbers that you are used to. Hate to be a downer, but I did not like this one. Won't be planting it again.

Review:

This is the BEST cuc I have ever eaten- really. I love the fresh cucumber taste of cucs! and this one is more 'cucumber-ie' than any I have tasted. Like other reviews said, you have to wait a while for the fruit to start, BUT it is well worth the wait.
