This amazing little pepper comes to us from an Amish grower of Indiana. The seed was passed down to her from her grandmother, whom she fondly remembers growing these peppers in the 1950s in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The very productive plants produce the cutest little mini bell-shaped peppers, only 1-2 inches across! She uses these to make wonderful stuffed and pickled peppers!

What are the pros? Small size, color, sweetness

What are the cons? none

Review:

I was expecting a mini bell shaped pepper (like the first picture) but my peppers look more like the second one, more tapered. They start lime green and ripen to yellow and then a golden orange. Sweet, but definitely not the sweetest pepper, they almost have a citrusy flavor. I love the color and unique taste so we will definitely be growing them again!

What are the pros? Great production

What are the cons? A little tough

Review:

We grew about ten plants. All were very productive with at least 15 fruits on every plant when it was two feet tall in July. Germination was good, almost every seed grew. Fruit turns almost orange when ripe. Very sweet but tough for a pepper. Kids didn't care and fought over them served plain. Very good overall. Pretty early. First picked in early July.

Review:

Decent germination rates. Plants were dwarfish and produced a moderate amount of fruit. The fruit was super sweet, but had lots of seeds. It was a good year for peppers here in Ohio so these statements reflect that.
