What are the pros? Don't have to break your back

What are the cons? Non

Review:

I've been growing these for years and years. Sometimes they get a wilt or something, I just pull those plants out. By now I pretty much saved the "good" seeds, so there is less and less yellowing problem. Change their planting location every year - just the other side of the fence... (Same as with the beans.) There is always plenty for fresh eating and freezing too. I water them regularly, and pick every two days. They are not picky, small and large seeds both taste great. I usually have 9 seeds in a pod. Wish they would be a bit earlier, but a little waiting is a small price not to have to bend over.

What are the pros? packed pods

What are the cons? need very sturdy trellis

Review:

Wonderful! Packed pods, can stand to stay on the vine for awhile past peak picking without compromising the flavor. Perfect when you're out of town and can't pick everyday.

What are the pros? Large peas; apt name

What are the cons? poor production

Review:

Here in the Sacramento Valley, this variety was not a good starter or producer in my raised garden bed. The peas from what few pods developed are huge but not especially sweet or tender. In addition, the plant grew over 7' tall, making harvest more difficult (I guess one does need to grow them around a telephone pole). There were also several flowering sweet peas in the package. For the effort, the harvest rewards were minimal and disappointing for this gardner.

What are the pros? very sweet and large pods

What are the cons? none

Review:

Grew these this past spring. Ate them raw in the garden and they were so sweet. Nice vines and large flowers for peas. Prolific. Grew mine on my chain length fence and they got taller than that! Will use trellis next yr.
